The Ethics of PSA Testing and Cancer Screening

In Fortnight in Medicine XIII, we discussed the latest publication from the European Study of Prostate Cancer Screening. After dealing with the results, we commented on the ethics of cancer screening. Ever since, I’ve been a little obsessed with the idea that we need to reconsider the ethics of screening tests. What follows is a short meditation on the subject.¹
