Worked for years in oncology and as a nurse of 40+ years, it was my favorite. I also worked for years in the insurance industry and advocated for those in the middle of the crazy maze of prior authorizations, denials and appeals. The system is broken for sure, but when I read articles like this about doctors who truly advocate for their patients, it brings me hope. I wish there were more of you!

This story is so “human” in a world where they are trying to dehumanize us…thank you Dr. V for this special story.

Thank you, this is a beautiful story. I am a hospice and long term care nurse, as well as a Christian. I can't help but think you did God's work by helping this patient so much. I experience the horrors of out healthcare system. Thank you for being a difference for your patients.

Dr. Prasad, you are a real human being -- very special, and unusual in medical professionals these days. I am wondering, though, if you are open to working with patients who want to take nutritional supplements, and eat an anti-cancer diet. Do you know about these things? Thanks for answering. Vinay,

As a hematologist who has been doing this about twice as long as you have, your story was perfect. It is the question I get asked the most often and you have put into words more eloquent than mine a perfect answer.

Thank you.
