Whereas I was told by my advisor that another student had failed his qualifying exam because he never admitted when he didn't know, but tried to b.s. his way out of any answer he didn't know. I applaud your willingness to ask questions, and to try to slow down. Impatience and irritation lead to bad decisions in any area of life. Arrogance too.
