Very interesting and informative piece. Given the FDAs recent behavior and the fact that big Pharma and the FDA are one and the same, I would vote for getting rid of this accelerated pathway. The FDA already skirts rigor and violates its own standards all the time. This makes it way too easy for the pharmaceutical companies to push products on the American public of questionable benefit.
