Every Cubs/ Cards game might as well be a playoff game, if you live in Illinois or around St. Louis. Having the Cubs end the Cards season in the playoffs several years back was probably almost as satisfying an end to the season (as a Cubs fan) as the World Series win.
Great comparison. While doing research one summer at St. Louis University I went to 56 games (bleachers of course for $1). It was a great time to do two things I love. I am now in Detroit and a Tigers fan but still root for the Redbirds (sorry about that). Thanks for bringing back great memories.
Both involve "hero worship," for sure ... and also nostalgia for "Glory Days" of the past.
Those are two things I dislike -- and take part in regularly!

This is my favorite time on Fridays. Thank you 🙏

Love it. Maybe we'll meet at a Cubs Cardinals game some day!
