Ahhhh, Pfizer? Also, isn't there a revolution of sorts where the benefits of sunlight (beyond Vitamin D) is heating up? It seems to me that there's a reason why Media, politicians and medical doctors reputations are in tatters. Is this guys sunblock any different than pediatricians whose business is so driving by vaccines w/o ever questioning it? Or OB's why we give Hep B to a baby that's minutes old? Or the very leadership of FDA/CDC's revolving door to pharma?

I understand your point of "snake oil" and why that makes you cringe. And I would agree. But the sunscreen/Derm guy would be like #2000 in the order of (non)merit list of problems with medicine. It would be the equivalent of a Titanic passenger complaining about the food while the ship is sinking. Or so it seems to me.

I enjoyed this so much! Using the medical aesthetic industry as an example here was the perfect way to paint a picture of the "doctorpreneur." As a licensed aesthetician who loves facials AND fancy skincare products, I am the first to admit that nothing we slather all over our faces contributes to better overall health or actually prevents us from aging. At the end of the day, the self care aspect is really what counts. Achieving healthy skin starts with adopting healthy diet and lifestyle habits, and does not require $3000 worth of products. Sometimes it just feels like the skincare industry invented the snake oil business model. And not to mention their sales pitches become more and more absurd. LOL
