Sister died of ovarian cancer at 73. (Yes, I'm the youngest at 77.) In 2022 my hemoglobin was going down (I take quarter aspirin daily), so colonoscopy found a stage 2a tumor. (Previous colonoscopy 8 years earlier was clean.) Next morning, 15 inches of colon were removed on the "right" side, the "good" side, as the docs kept saying—no bag. Negative ever since and knocking on a lot of wood! Yet, my 89-year old brother is still going strong, apparently with no medical issues!!
